Subjects in BOLD are on the program of the Modern Olympic Games and are among the primary areas of interest in seeking endowments. The intention of the Institute is to collect all the literature in the world on these subject areas -- in every language.

Some subject areas such as
GYMNASTICS, PHYSICAL EDUCATION, PHYSICAL FITNESS and HEALTH, and EXERCISE
are all very difficult categories to distinguish because they frequently overlap with other subjects.

The IISOH is a non-profit educational, literary and research corporation under section 501(c)3
and is organized to operate a library and museum devoted to the academic subject areas of
History of Sport, Physical Education, Recreation, Dance, Sport in Art, the Olympic Games,
and all related subject areas as determined by the Board of Directors.

Donations to the IISOH are tax deductible.
